Effective September 10, 2026
Plain-English version: build and download your own site, pay for what you use, don’t upload things that aren’t yours, and you can leave any time.
Using PortfolioMaker — building, downloading, saving, or paying — means you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.
PortfolioMaker is a browser-based builder that turns your work into a downloadable static website. Building and previewing require no account. An account lets you save your work between visits; downloading the finished site is a one-time payment, described on the pricing page.
Sign-in is handled by Clerk. You’re responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for what happens through it.
Downloads and Pro subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Prices are shown before you pay. Pro is a recurring monthly charge you can cancel any time from the dashboard; a one-time download charge is exactly that, once, for that download.
You own what you upload and the site you download. We don’t claim any rights to it beyond what’s needed to store, optimize, and deliver it back to you. What you publish with your downloaded site is entirely yours.
Sharing a model to the catalogue is opt-in and per-model, and you confirm it’s actually yours to share before it goes public. You can withdraw a shared model at any time. If something in the catalogue is yours and shouldn’t be there, tell us and it comes down while we look into it.
Free accounts are for portfolios in active use. If a free account’s saved portfolio goes untouched for 12 months, we’ll email a warning first; if we don’t hear back within 30 days after that, we may delete its stored files. This never applies to a portfolio with a model shared to the public catalogue, and never applies to an active Pro subscription. We may also change how much storage a new free account includes going forward — if we do, anyone already signed up keeps what they were promised.
Don’t upload content you don’t have the rights to, use the service for anything illegal, or try to abuse, disrupt, or reverse-engineer it. We can suspend or close accounts that do.
The service is provided as-is. We work to keep it reliable but don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the extent the law allows, PortfolioMaker isn’t liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose.
Close your account any time from the dashboard — it stops billing and deletes your stored content immediately. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
If these terms change in a way that matters, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
